The Presentation
Auto racing is an intense crucible that tests a vehicle's and driver’s capabilities, but even more so when racing on a low friction surface, like ICE. This presentation will focus on driving techniques used in ice racing and performance driving.  While it may be slower, it's no less exciting!  We will cover the similarities and differences compared to driving on high-grip surfaces.
The Race

After the presentation, we will apply the lessons in a one-hour Le Mans-style kart race at Speedworld! Teams assigned to each kart will race against each other to complete as many laps as possible before time runs out!

Teams will be a mix of SAE students, professional SAE members, and other guests. This is a great networking opportunity for students and professionals alike!

Our Speaker

He's created, refined, and instructed at a local autocross racing school that has helped hundreds of drivers reach their personal goals in amateur motorsports over the past 17 years.
