Company Description
Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) is a not-for-profit Crown Corporation that has provided basic
automobile coverage since 1971. With the
new research centre MPI is able to work very closely with Original Equipment
Manufacturers (OEMs), academic institutions and the automotive repair industry;
collaborating on research projects initiatives and training on new vehicle
repair techniques, equipment and tooling.
Welding certifications are also performed at the research centre which
is a requirement towards the necessary Gold Class I-CAR status. On the global scale, MPI is part of RCAR; an
international body of automotive research centres, whose primary goal is to
reduce the human and economic costs of motor vehicle losses.Registration
