Karlyn Fehr graduated in Mechanical Engineering at University of Manitoba in 2019. During his time in university he enjoyed being involved in many teams including UMSAE Aero, UMUAS, & UMSATS Rocket design where he found a passion for design work. Due to his exposure to agriculture from a young age and experience during summer jobs, he decided to pursue a career in agricultural engineering. Since his graduation, he has been working at AGI Westfield in Rosenort, Manitoba as a design engineer, where he enjoys designing grain augers.

Who is AGI Westfield?

Founded in 1950, Westfield has developed and refined the most dependable grain augers available. With a commitment to adapted designs and innovation, Westfield has become the leading portable grain auger manufacturer in the world. The Presentation

The Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada is home to an extensive collection of aircraft ranging from bush flying, military, passenger, experimental aircraft and thousands of aviation artefacts.  The Museum was established over 40 years ago and moved to its new location in 2022.  It plays a key role in hosting and providing programs for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 with an ever increasing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) program tailored to each education level.   Presently it is even hosting a display by the University of Manitoba SAE Aero Design group which will also be available to view.  We will have a special guided tour through the museum as well as a bit of a behind the scenes look at one of their shops.  After the tour you will have some time to wander around the exhibits and explore on your own.

Parking

Parking is available on the east side of the Museum. See next page for map. Lot gate will be lifted for our group, or parking tickets validated, so parking will be free.
