Our Speaker

Tim Giesbrecht is the Director of Engineering and Quality at Herd, having started in September 2015 He has a degree in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from Asper and is currently working on a Lean Greenbelt. He leads an engineering team that is responsible for product design, manufacturing support, technical service and quality. The engineering team has recently been developing new products including a lighter, more fuel efficient aluminum protection bumper and a lift assist feature on all aluminum bumpers to improve operator ergonomics, and on-shoring a line of stainless steel grill guards.

Company Description

Herd North America Inc. is a locally owned company specializing in the production and distribution of vehicle protection guards for commercial transport trucks and working-class pickup trucks. Herd’ engineering team designs each model and application in-house, which amounts to hundreds of applications and tens of thousands of configurations.

PPE

There may be an evening shift working during the tour, if so, hearing protection, safety glasses and steel toes are required. Ear plugs and safety glasses will be provided and protective shoe caps are available for those who don’t have steel toed shoes.
