State Industries

In 1969 Stan Baldwin started State Industries, a polyurethane parts manufacturer. Stan quickly saw the growing market for durable cast polyurethane elastomer products in various industrial applications. As the company began to grow, so did its list of services. In 1992, a joint venture was established with Rollerblade to manufacture in-line skate wheels for international markets.  Virtually overnight State Industries became a major manufacturer of wheels in North America. At the same time the industrial division of State Industries grew rapidly, and new techniques and methods were developed to produce more complex parts for various applications, outside of strictly polyurethane parts, leading to the establishment of StateCraft Architectural Fabricators.  
StateCraft, a rebranded subsidiary of State Industries, was created in response to a niche market demand for custom architectural fabrication using waterjet cutting technology that was previously considered cost prohibitive. Waterjet cutting technology has the ability to cut precise designs and intricate shapes from almost any material by using a thin, high pressure, high velocity stream of water.  
By the late 1990’s, with the bulk of skate wheel production moved offshore, most of the employees in the wheel division, who had years of valuable cast experience were transferred to StateMix, and the new company was born. StateMix has become a major competitor in equipment design and manufacturing of polyurethane dispensers and ancillary equipment serving markets all over the globe. With R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and distribution all under one roof, StateMix is now venturing outside of traditional polyurethane market segments to provide industrial process automation in a variety of industries including composites, aerospace, and battery manufacturing to name a few.
